Clean Truck Check info

There's just two parts to the new California Clean Truck Check program:

1. Registering your vehicles with the Clean Truck Check VIS Database website & paying you $30 dues per vehicle

2. Getting an OBD emissions test (usually vehicles 2013 and newer) or a Smoke Opacity test before your due dates. RVs are once a year and Trucks are two times a year.​​

See the testing schedule for 2025 below, and see further below for exempt vehicles and out-of-state vehicles. These vehicles are designated by the LAST NUMBER OF THE VIN.
